Krochet Kids was founded by three friends who wanted to make a difference in the world and they’ve found a way to do that through the art of crochet. The companies singular mission is, “To empower people to rise above poverty.”
They’ve setup working centers for women (many of whom are still kids) in Northern Uganda and Peru and trained them to crochet and make shirts, hats and accessories to be sold through Krochet Kids. This video should explain it all.
Volcom has now signed on and should help raise the level of awareness so kudos to them for getting behind this great organization.
