Going green is a concept you can apply to any project, including anything built for kids.
Natalie Wright of the awesome blog, Natalme, has shared her backyard playhouse that was built from scratch and includes garage door windows from a yard sale and reclaimed barwood that was rescued from being burned.
The wood was in rough shape but they cut, planed and sanded it and it became the paneling for the playhouse. They applied a water sealant but left it the original color which gives the house a lovely look and character.
They also built benches next to the playhouse using old stumps and the same salvaged wood.
